Woodcliff has a staff of well trained School Psychologists who use applied cognitive Behavior Modification to retrain students in effective school behavior. Students have available individual counseling and group counseling in addition to behavior management plans. Teachers are included in the planning and implementation of behavior management plans.

Youngsters coming to Woodcliff often have a complex history of school failure. Some of these discouraged young people demonstrate uncooperative behaviors. Others have developed hostilities related to school rules or specific academic subjects. The Woodcliff clinical program focuses on both the academic needs and the psychological needs of students.

Clinical Director

Dr James Gillock specializes in the evaluation and diagnosis of neurologically-based disorders including learning disabilites, ADD/ADHD, Autistic Disorder, PDD and Asperger's Disorder.

He is an experienced school psychologist and licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience working as a school psychologist and Director of Special Services in New Jersey public and private schools and in private practices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He received his Ed.D. in School Psychology from Temple University, post doctoral training in Rational-Emotive Psychotherapy at the RET Institute in New York City, and post graduate training in School Neuropsychology through Texas Woman's University. Dr Gillock is board certifed in School Neuropsychology.
