Pride & Renewed Self-Esteem Through Personal Achievement

Adolescent and pre-adolescent young people often come to Woodcliff with seriously
diminished self-esteems and deeply ingrained avoidance behavior patterns. Many display the
damaging effects of past failures in former academic situations. These students have come to
fear the anonymity, the frustration and the alienation of large impersonal educational settings. At
Woodcliff we work carefully to re-build their lost sense of self-worth.

Each educational plan is tailored to the student's emotional, physical, social and intellectual
needs. We work closely with school districts and parents to develop the most effective IEP
possible within our setting. The most important work we do here at Woodcliff is to help our
students to become secure, happy, well-adjusted young people whose personal sense of self is
founded on a solid foundation of genuine personal accomplishment.
